Museumstvinn yarn gives the vest a firm and dimensionally stable expression. First, the back is shaped with European shoulders, then it is knitted down to the armholes. Then, stitches are picked up from the shoulders for the front pieces, which are knitted separately before the front and back pieces are joined and the body is knitted back and forth, as the vest is open at the front. Along the front edges, stitches are picked up for button bands, which are knitted in double knitting.
