Aurora Cardigan
Knitting pattern
Description
The yarn in this pattern is made from 100% natural fibers.
The yarn is produced in Norway.
The Aurora Cardigan is knitted top-down. First, the back is knitted back and forth and shaped with German Short Rows. Then, the right and left front pieces are knitted separately before being joined at the center front. The work is then joined to form the body, which is knitted in the round to the desired length. The sleeves are knitted by picking up stitches around the armholes and knitted top-down. The cardigan is then cut open at the center front before the neckband, button bands, and facings are knitted. Finally, the facing is sewn to the inside of the cardigan, covering the raw edges after cutting. All ribbing is knitted in 2 knit, 2 purl and bound off with knit stitches.
