Hillesvåg, just outside Bergen
Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk is a traditional Norwegian yarn manufacturer with its own factory shop. Here you can find patterns and yarn for several of our designs, as well as a large selection of Norwegian wool yarn.
Salhus, Bergen
The Textile Industry Museum is located in the old Salhus Tricotagefabrik (Salhus Hosiery Factory) from 1859 and tells the story of the textile industry in Western Norway. Here you can experience the old factory premises and machines that still demonstrate how wool and other textiles were processed and ultimately turned into finished garments.
In connection with the 10th anniversary of the Bergen Knitting Festival, we have been fortunate enough to design the Ulla Vest in collaboration with the Textile Industry Museum. It is a collaboration we are incredibly proud of, connecting knitting, Norwegian textile tradition, and the history of Salhus.
