Aurora Cardigan
Knitting pattern
Description
The yarn in this pattern is made of 100% natural fibers
The yarn is produced in Norway
The Aurora Cardigan is knitted from the top down. First, the back piece is knitted back and forth and shaped using German Short Rows. Then, the right and left front pieces are knitted separately before being joined in the center front. The work is then joined to form the body, which is knitted in the round down to the desired length. The sleeves are knitted by picking up stitches around the armholes and are worked from the top down. The cardigan is then cut open down the center front, before the neckband, button bands, and facing are knitted. Finally, the facing is sewn onto the inside of the cardigan, covering the raw edges from the cutting. All ribbing is knitted as k2, p2 and cast off with knit stitches.
