Difficulty

Here you will find a selection of our free patterns – lovely small projects for those who want to knit or crochet something new

Find a project that suits you – or challenge yourself with something new.

We have marked our patterns with a difficulty level to make it a little easier to find a project that suits you and your experience. The levels are just a guide – perhaps you want to learn a new technique or dive into something you haven't tried before? The most important thing is that you find a project you want to knit.

Beginner

Simple projects with basic techniques. Well-suited for those who are new to knitting or want a relaxed and straightforward project.

Intermediate
For those who have some knitting experience and are confident with the most common techniques. The projects may contain some new techniques or a bit more to keep track of.

Advanced
For those with extensive knitting experience who are looking for a project with multiple techniques, details, or constructions.

A little tip from us:

Don't let the difficulty level stop you from trying something you want to knit. With a little patience and a willingness to learn, you can go a long way!

Crocheted butterfly

To mark World Mental Health Day, we have created a free crochet pattern for a small butterfly. The shape is inspired by the day’s logo, which symbolizes change, freedom, and openness.

Hang it on your bag, backpack, or keychain – or give it to someone you care about. Perhaps it can serve as a small reminder to take care of yourself and each other.

Small actions count!

Sval Shawl

Sval Shawl is a soft and timeless shawl knitted in Sol Lamull from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. It can be knitted in a single color or with two colors, allowing you to easily adapt it to your own style.

The shawl is shaped with increases towards the right and left and is available in three different sizes, so you can choose the one that best suits your intended use. A simple and even edge around the entire shawl provides a nice finish.

Sval Shawl was designed in collaboration with Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk in connection with Wool Week 2025.
